On March 5, 1966, the first-ever photograph of a black hole was taken by astronomers at the University of California, changing our understanding of the universe. Additionally, in 1970, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty was signed, aiming to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and promote peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
