Overview

What we use cookies for

• Subscriber verification. When you subscribe to a newsletter (for example, The DuPage Daily), we may set a signed cookie so we can recognize you on our subscriber-only pages (such as the newsletter subdomain) and show you the content you’re entitled to.
• Admin sessions. When our team signs in to the admin area to manage the site, we use cookies to keep that session secure. These are not used for general visitors.

We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics that identify you.

Cookies we set

All cookies we set are strictly necessary to operate the site:

• Subscription / verification cookie. Used to remember that you have subscribed so we can unlock subscriber-only content. Without it, we cannot reliably show you that content on the subdomain.
• Admin authentication cookies. Used only when an authorized user is logged into the admin dashboard. They are not set for regular visitors.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block or remove the cookies we use, some features may not work—for example, we may not be able to recognize your subscription on subscriber-only pages.
