On this day March 28. In 1990, President George H. W. Bush honored the legendary track and field athlete Jesse Owens with a posthumous Congressional Gold Medal. Owens, who famously shattered records at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, continues to inspire generations with his incredible achievements and spirit.
